Many Thanks Pete [Collins] for getting back to me regarding Ashford & Simpsom details. Years ago 79/80, me and some mates used to go to Paris to hang out and Party at clubs, La Palace and a few others. WE met a friend out there who had contacts Travis, from Seven Kings. He introduced us to this american choreographer, Larry Vickers, who in turn was doing some work over there with A & S. He introduced us to them. I remember being in Nick's [Ashford] hotel room and asking him if he minded if I smoked. He, thinking it was a Joint said, 'fill the roommm', when he saw that I meant a cigarette, he was like, aargh. It was quite funny at the time. Great sing writers though.

No i didn't take the children, I decided to have some me time for a change, Some people did take their kids, but they all brought babysitters too (alright for some) We'll be going to Spain next week so I don't feel so bad about going away with the girls. What a great weekender, I think the a week would have been too long for me, the resort accomdation was more than worth the money and the venues too, and not forgeting the breath taking views from our roof top terrace and the venue on private beach. The music was soulfully ecletic with the odd one or two unusual sing along times (Elton John and KIki Dees don't go breaking my heart)thrown in at the right time to catch everyone at their best!....you would have to have been there. It so nice to attend such an intinmate and value for money weekender! A Big Well done to Paul Francis and Vivy B and Dj Sandra C, Toni Fanandez, Daryll, Fitzroy and Stevie. I'll put my weekend highlights and photos on Myspace for you once I get it all sorted out. Excuse any spelling mistakes I thought I get a post in quickly before JD and kids arrive to collect me Ciao x

The vitrol put on here by the no names at times can be horrifying to read. No I should not bite but I simply cannot understand the people that post the vitrol. We all have in common the love of great music and we are grown up people not little children and I feel ashamed at what is written on here sometimes. The sheer nastiness that some people can stoop to is beyond me. Remarks about lurking in parks etc is not funny but down right offensive. How the hell someone can make a joke about such things is beyond me. And yes no names call me what you like but Geoff and myself can pride ourselves that We have the guts to put our real names on here than be anonymous and that makes us able to stand up to our convictions unlike you anonymous posters who have no courage to say your vitrol in your own names COWARDS.
